
The first of the three concerts took place on the evening of St. Patrick's Day, March 17, at the headquarters of the Irish Franciscans at the Church of Adam and Eve in Dublin.
From there, Friar Alessandro will offer concerts in Galway on Friday, March 21 at the Galway Cathedral; and then on Saturday, March 22 at the Franciscan Friary on Liberty Street in Cork City.
Friar Alessandro’s enormously successful European min-tour has so far seen him perform in front of 5,000 people in Budapest and sell-out Croatia’s largest concert hall.
Demand for his Irish concerts is expected to be large.
Alessandro Brustenghi (born in Assisi in April 21, 1978), now known as Friar Alessandro, is an Italian Franciscan friar and a singer with an incredible tenor voice. He is also the first friar to land an exclusive record contract with a major record label.
Friar Alessandro's debut album, Voice from Assisi (2012), made it to number one in the UK Classical Charts and was nominated for a Classic Brit Award. His second album Joy to the Worldis currently on release.
