Fr. Algirdas made his solemn vows in the Order of Friars Minor in 2001 and was consecrated a priest in 2002. During this time, he served in the parish of St. Francis of Assisi in Vilnius. From 2006 to 2012 he served as a National spiritual assistant of YouFra (Franciscan youth) and from 2007 to 2013 as a Guardian of St. Francis and st. Bernardine friary in Vilnius. From 2013 to 2015 Fr. Algirdas was a parish priest in the parish of St. Francis of Assisi. He was elected a Provincial Minister of St. Casimir Province in 2016.
The Lithuanian Religious Men Superiors Conference was officially established in 2008 and unites all 14 religious Orders and institutes of men in Lithuania. The main aims of the Conference are to strengthen collaboration between the religious, to coordinate common activities, to share the experience of consecrated life in today’s world, to organize diocesan and inter-diocesan events, to collaborate with Lithuanian Bishops’ Conference and with the Pontifical Congregations in Vatican.
